Georgian Roofing has health and safety at the top of its priority list at all times and takes a highly proactive approach to its obligations.
All our work is carried out in accordance with relevant UK legislation, including:
- the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974;
- the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999;
- the Work at Height Regulations 2005;
- the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015;
- the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998; and
- the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
We recognise absolutely our critical responsibilities towards our tradespeople and staff, our subcontractors, our clients and the wider general public. This influences our long-term thinking, and we’re always looking to reduce or eliminate the risks associated with our work, particularly by using technology to eliminate high-risk activities.
As part of our day-to-day work on every project, we appoint competent people to supervise the works, we carry out site-specific risk assessments, we implement necessary measures to address identified risks and we ensure our operatives are trained appropriately before they start work on site. We also ensure that our clients understand their project responsibilities so that nothing is missed.
We have engaged Seguro Health and Safety Consultants as our named health & safety advisor, ensuring that we have an independent professional view of our in-house health and safety systems, including safe systems of work on construction sites. With Seguro’s guidance, we have developed a comprehensive Health and Safety Management System covering all aspects of our operations.
We have documented method statements for all aspects of our on-site work, and all our site supervisors have completed the Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme course which is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board. With Georgian Roofing, you’re in a safe pair of hands.
